For specialists
Projects worth
Action = Matter connects independent specialists and expert teams to companies with concrete challenges and the budget to solve them.
What does joining the Skill Network involve?
Joining means your profile becomes part of a curated pool that Action = Matter draws on when a client request matches your discipline, seniority and availability. It is free, non-exclusive and carries no obligation: you keep your own clients, you see the scope and the decision-maker before you commit, and you decline anything that does not fit. In return the network expects accuracy about what you can deliver and when, professional handling of client confidentiality, and a willingness to work alongside specialists from other disciplines on the same project. Requests are sent selectively rather than broadcast, which is why members receive fewer of them and why the ones they do receive tend to convert.

Process
How joining
Apply with your profile and expertise. If there is a fit, we have an introduction conversation. After that you are part of the network and receive requests that match your discipline, availability and preferred engagement type.
What the network does, and what stays yours
A clear split of responsibilities, so there is no ambiguity about who owns what during an engagement.
| Criterion | Action = Matter | You |
|---|---|---|
| Finding and qualifying the work | Sources and qualifies the request | Decides whether to take it |
| Scope and expectations | Agrees scope and outcome with the client | Confirms it is deliverable |
| Commercial terms | Handles contracting and invoicing | Sets your rate |
| The work itself | Stays available as escalation point | Delivers it independently |
| Your own clients | No claim, no exclusivity | Entirely yours |
Frequently asked questions
Who sets my rate?
You do. We tell you the budget range the client has indicated and whether your rate fits it. We never negotiate your rate down without your agreement.
Is the network exclusive?
No. There is no exclusivity and no non-compete. Members keep their own clients and take network requests alongside them.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Applying and being part of the network is free for specialists. Commercial terms are agreed per engagement.
How many requests can I expect?
It depends on your discipline and availability. We deliberately send fewer, better matched requests rather than broadcasting every project.
Can I stay available for my own clients?
Yes. Most members combine network projects with their own practice. You decide what you take on.
Do you publish my profile publicly?
No. There is no public specialist directory. Your profile is shared with a client only in the context of a concrete request.
