Action = Matter was built on a simple observation: organisations rarely fail for lack of ideas. They fail because the right expertise is not available at the moment the decision has to be executed.
Who is Action = Matter?
Action = Matter is a Netherlands-based skill network that connects companies with independent specialists and expert teams across ten disciplines. It is deliberately small in structure and wide in reach: a single accountable contact for the client, a curated pool of senior specialists behind it, and no layer of account managers in between. The company was founded on the observation that most organisations do not lack plans, they lack the specific expertise needed at the moment a plan has to be executed. Everything about how the network operates follows from that: matching starts at the outcome, engagements are scoped in writing before they start, and members are proposed only when they genuinely fit the request.

Our mission is to make specialist expertise accessible at the moment it creates the most value, and to give specialists work that uses what they are genuinely best at. Both sides of that exchange have to work for the network to be worth anything.

The gap between
Hiring is slow and permanent. Marketplaces are fast but shift all selection risk to the client. Consultancies are thorough but rarely flexible. Action = Matter exists in the space those three leave open: curated expertise, engaged flexibly, accountable for a result.

Where is Action = Matter based, and where does it operate?
The company is based in the Netherlands and works with clients and members across Europe. Most engagements run remotely or hybrid; on-site work depends on the specialist and the assignment.
How many specialists are in the network?
The network grows deliberately and is curated per discipline, so we publish no headline number we cannot stand behind. What matters for a request is whether a genuinely relevant specialist is available, and we answer that honestly per case.
How does Action = Matter earn money?
Through the commercial agreement per engagement, which is transparent to both sides before work starts. Companies pay nothing to submit a project, and specialists pay nothing to be part of the network.
